additional comments This vehicle was shown at , and has always taken out top paint prizes at various car shows from 1999 till 2001 (14 trophies), but due to ill health it remained home practically since. In 2000 it took the 1st prize for Classic Paint and 3rd prize for the Street Sedan Section at the Chrysler Expo in Brisbane from a field of 160 other participants, Rockhampton both People’s and Entrant’s Choice. It has been a no smoking, no pet car and will pass any inspection by the most fastidious buyer. It is being sold very reluctantly as I intend converting a bus for my retirement next year. This is one of the best "S" Series in existence, and is a real head turner.

MILEAGE: 93,639 MILES as at 15 April, 2005

VEHICLE DESCRIPTION: This vehicle has had 2 owners. It was siting on the chocks in a shed in Charters Towers (NQ) for 21 ½ years, undercoated and ready for the top coat of acrylic. I had it sandblasted to the bare metal, and found absolutely no rust or dents whatsoever, with the exception of a couple small dents from reversing on the stone tray under the rear bumper.

All panels were and still are unmarked as, for the time spent on the chocks, there were no supermarkets in Charters Towers to get dinged. It was painted with 2 coats of "Monte Carlo Magic" with 4 coats of clear, so you will see by the photographs that it is "magic".

INTERIOR:The interior was fully restored at the same time. Black carpet replaced the rubber flooring including the boot. The headlining was replaced by black velour. The seats and door trims were replaced with upholstery, but the original pattern was maintained. The original steering wheel was replaced with a smaller wooden one. The instrument cluster was re-chromed, and looks better that original.

ENGINE BAY: The engine bay boasts some chrome, certainly not overdone, as can be seen by the photos. The underside of the bonnet was trimmed with polished stainless sheeting. Engine is original, with the exception of electronic ignition, extractors, complete stainless exhaust system, fuel catalyst, electric fuel pump, in the last couple years all ball joints, tie rod ends, shockers have been replaced, and Pitman Arm reconditioned. The previous owner also replaced new water pump, brakes, clutch, and timing gear, prior to putting it away for all those years.

BODY WORK: Impeccable. Absolutely no accident history. Paintwork 99% it is as good as the day it was painted. Always hangared with a light car cover. Painted by Ray Palmer, who is renowned as one of the best ever around these parts. The paint job would cost around the $10,000 mark today. Tailor made car bra (stops stone chips) included. All the outside chrome is original. The 5 spoke Dragway mags (with 90% rubber), sets this vehicle off magnificently, particularly as it has been lowered a couple inches.
